Before working with us, they were already pretty happy with their marketing. They liked their website, had a reliable PPC consultant, and their website generated a lot of leads. Overall, the business was going well, but nevertheless, they wanted to make it even better.

When designing a custom marketing programme for them, we wanted to retain the parts of their marketing which were already working, which meant keeping the current website, and working alongside their PPC consultant. What was missing, however, was an SEO strategy, consistency with creating new website content and social media marketing, and a lack of any email marketing (which was a big opportunity for them as they had a large database). 

Further developing their digital marketing by working with JDR has had the following benefits:

  • Keyword rankings have shot up - they are now featuring in the Google search results for 1,363 keywords.
  • We've introduced strategic content marketing and have built a blog for them, which has now attracted more than 20,000 new visitors to the site.
  • We've given them a consistent email marketing programme, which is getting 25% open rates, which is re-engaging past leads and enquiries and keeping them in touch with their customer base.

The Digital Marketing Programme

Following our initial analysis and review of their goals, we created a tailored marketing programme specifically for them. As their outsourced marketing agency, our goal was to create an effective inbound marketing strategy for them that would generate more traffic and inbound leads.

This programme included:

With paid search (via Google Ads) working well, we were confident they'd get even better results from achieving high organic rankings in Google.

So we've been implementing an ongoing SEO programme which has increased their domain authority score from 15 to 25, and meant they are now found in Google for 1,363 different keywords and search phrases - more than triple the amount they had at the start.

During the same period, their organic traffic levels have also increased by 80.1%.

Blog Content Drives 21,788 New Visitors

We put in place a programme of ongoing content marketing, focusing primarily on writing and publishing articles to the blog on their website, in order to get found for more keywords in Google, to keep the site fresh and up to date, and to build authority.

As you can see from the report above, one post alone has attracted 6,171 new visitors to the site, and overall blog traffic has been steadily building, now contributing nearly 1,000 visits to the website every month.

From Q4 2023 to Q1 2025, just over a year, the growth in visitors to the website has been a staggering 145.5% - more than double.

Traffic From Organic (Non-Paid) Sources Has Tripled

This growth has been driven primarily through 'free' traffic, rather than by paying for ads - it has been through SEO, email and organic social media posts.

Inbound Leads Have Doubled

From 97 in month one to 230 early in 2025, there has been a significant growth in inbound leads driven from the website.

Getting Full Control Of Their Company Website

Their website, while getting plenty of enquiries, was outdated, uneditable on a custom CMS platform. Any changes had to be sent to the website hosts to implement. This resulted in poor SEO, ongoing website errors and extensive (and expensive) development.

So, after a year of working with the existing site, we agreed to build a new website on the HubSpot website platform. The new website is performing just as well as before, but now they can easily edit and change pages without having to submit support tickets or pay anything extra. What's Next?

In their pursuit of further growth, this business is still looking to increase sales, grow their business and hire more staff. We are working with them to develop other marketing channels, to improve brand awareness, and to develop a unified approach towards marketing and content.

The aim is to go from being a regional window and door supplier to one with national reach, to expand the product range, and to focus on future-looking products, such as automation and technology.
