Let’s face it, we live in a world where people would rather make a post online to someone rather than actually picking up the phone and talking to them. The online lifestyle has completely changed the world we live in today. Everyone turns to the internet and Social Media sites to learn the latest news, contact friends, play games, order shopping plus much more! There is no chance of ever getting away from the online world that sucks so many of us into it. In this article, I will be discussing why it’s so important to target your customers and clients online rather than just relying on ‘word of mouth’ marketing.

One of the biggest and most important reasons to turn to modern online marketing is because the audience volume is so high! No matter who your customer and client market are, I can 100% guarantee that every single one of them makes daily Google searches, whether it be a personal or business search. It is reported that on estimate over 5 billion Google searches are performed every single day, and that is a statistic which isn’t going to slow down anytime soon. This just shows the power which Google holds when it comes to the online world.
It isn’t just Google which people are turning to when browsing online, the number of people using Social Media platform is also incredible. It is reported that over 1 billion people are now active on Facebook, over 400 million people are on Instagram and over 300 million people are on Twitter. These figures don’t lie and just shows how many people are actively using Social media. Another reason why online marketing works so well is that businesses can get such quick responses. By this, I mean businesses can quickly see how well their online marketing is going and compare this to any other form of marketing they may be doing. You’re able to produce one piece of content which can then be shared across different platforms. This can then be viewed by a very large amount of people. If you compare this to sending out a sales guy to a local area the return on investment can be massive.

Results can be a lot easier to monitor when using online marketing strategies. With some marketing strategies, it can often be unclear as to just how well that campaign is going and this can lead to unanswered questions. With online marketing, you’re able to monitor all kinds of different statistics which can all show how well your campaign is going. Every business will have different goals and with online marketing statistics, you’re able to track and monitor these goals.
