3 Internet Marketing Tips For B2C Companies

The online presence for a vast amount of markets is increasing quite literally day by day, with approximately 87% of UK consumers having made at least one online purchase in the last 12 months. 1) An Offer
There’s no denying it, the general public love a good offer, and better yet, a FREE offer! It is a fantastic place to start both attracting new customers and to keep existing customers coming back for more.
Offers can have varied levels of value and can be distributed in multiple different ways, such as a Call-To-Action. A great example of this would be “Click Here To Start Your 30 Day FREE Trial Today!” This could be used across your entire B2C internet marketing campaign, optimising your online presence. First and foremost the CTA should be added to your company website, preferably on multiple pages, it could also be added to the end of your emails, on your blog posts and linked to your social media channels.
Furthermore, another offer idea would be to encourage referrals, for example; “Get A Month’s FREE Membership When You Bring A Friend!” This holds a lot of power and will be rewarded with not only a new customer (the friend,) but will also encourage and build great customer loyalty from the original consumer.
2) Long Tail Keywords
Pretty much every company in the world that takes their internet marketing even remotely seriously, will dream of taking the top position in search engines for the most in demand keywords. However, sadly only very few will achieve this, therefore you have to think outside of the box, do your research and rustle up some long tail keywords that your buyer personas will be searching for.
According to entrepreneur.com, long tail keywords are 66% more profitable than head keywords, reinforcing the fact you are much better off focusing your attention and energy on ranking for the slightly less common search queries.
3) Mobile First
According to searchenginewatch.com, 57% of web traffic comes from mobile devices, meaning this is one trend you cannot ignore!
Many brands view mobile optimisation as a second priority. Not only are there visual impairments without mobile optimisation, but there are other ways in which this damages your overall internet marketing. Unbeknown to many there is a big difference beween the way keywords rank on mobile devices to the way they do on a desktop. More and more mobile users are seeking for content on the go as opposed to on their computers at home, which means optimisation is vital.
Along with general mobile optimisation, AMP – accelerated mobile pages, is becoming a key Google focus. This represents the overall user experience, speed, and responsiveness of mobile web pages. AMP is a version of HTML that strips back all of the JavaScript and unneeded style sheets.
