Cost effectiveness

Facebook ads are comparatively cheap, with typically much lower costs per click than LinkedIn or Google ads.

Website insights

Using the Facebook ‘pixel’ on your website, you can get useful demographic insights about the people who visit your website.

Facebook Ad Formats

Facebook Ads give you a range of different ad formats, as well as standard ads where prospects click through to your website, there are many other options including:

Lead generation ads

These ads are fantastic if you want to get sign-ups or have your prospects fill out a form. Rather than ask people to click through to a page on your website, your ad can include a Facebook form, which will get auto-populated from Facebook’s data – meaning all your prospects have to do is click ‘submit’.

App ads

To drive app downloads and/or app engagement.

Video ads

Videos which auto-play in the feeds of your prospects get fantastic engagement and can quickly convey powerful sales messages.

Product ads

Facebook Advertising - FAQs

Is Facebook Advertising Good For B2B Companies?

Yes – many B2B companies get fantastic results on Facebook. The key is getting the targeting right, so for a run-down of the targeting options go to our article Facebook Advertising Targeting Methods’. You can also read 5 Reasons Why Facebook Is Good For B2B Marketing, Facebook Marketing For B2B Lead Generation’, and B2B Advertising – Should We Pay For Facebook Ads?’

Do I Need To Use My Personal Facebook Account?

To run Facebook ads, you’ll need a Facebook business page, a Facebook Business account and a Facebook ads account. These are all separate from your personal Facebook profile, although in order to create any of these you’ll need a personal Facebook account.

How Much Does Facebook Advertising Cost?

Facebook advertising has pay per click and pay per thousand impression options. Compared with Google AdWords or LinkedIn ads, the costs per click are typically much lower – but it depends on the audience size and level of competition. You can set maximum budgets though, so that you can control exactly how much you spend overall. To find out more, read How Facebook Ads Work’

To get an idea of what your overall marketing budget should be, read our guide to digital marketing costs - where you can use our free budget calculator.

Which Is Better, Facebook Advertising, LinkedIn Advertising, Or Google Advertising?

Each has merits, and it depends on your budget, your goals, and your target customer. Facebook and LinkedIn ads allow you to reach people who are not necessarily looking for your products or services, so are better for demand generation and awareness building. Google Ads allow you to be found for people actively searching for your products/services, so often the leads generated via this method convert better. Talk to one of our experts to discuss your options here, and we can advise you about which platform(s) would work best for you. You can also read more on our article ‘Facebook vs Google’ as well asFacebook Vs LinkedIn Vs Twitter Paid Advertising.’

Should I Add The Facebook Pixel To Our Website?

The Facebook pixel allows Facebook to track visitors to your website. This costs nothing, and you can do it even if you are not running any ads, and it gives you three main benefits: 1) Get demographic insights on your website visitors (age, gender, interests, etc) 2) Track conversions from your Facebook ads 3) Enable retargeting, so you can run Facebook ads to people who have visited your website.

What Targeting Options Are There On Facebook?

Facebook Ads give you precise audience targeting so your ads reach the right people. Targeting options include:

You can upload your email list, customer database or CRM contacts to run ads to these particular contacts.

Create your own audiences based in the data Facebook has about it’s users. This includes age, gender, location, marital/relationship status, interests, job, pages they follow and much more.

Advertise to the prospects who have been looking at your website or particular pages/sections of your website.

Expand your targeting beyond these options by letting Facebook create ‘lookalike audiences’, in other words they will find more people that are similar to the people you are targeting.

JDR Group: More Than Just A Facebook Advertising Agency

If you are considering Facebook advertising and Facebook marketing, then you’ll want to increase awareness of your business, get more leads and enquiries, and increase sales.

The fact is, to achieve these things, you may need more than just Facebook ads, and we can help.

Our Six Step Marketing System

Over the past ten years, we have created a comprehensive 6-step sales and marketing system which we use and follow in our own business as well as with many small and medium sized businesses around the UK.

We can help you develop your messages, your USPs, your branding and develop a wider marketing strategy including your website, SEO, email marketing, lead generation and more.

We can help you improve your sales systems and processes to convert more leads and enquiries successfully.

To get the best results, you may need to develop, improve or even redesign your website – this is something we can do for you.

We write articles, guides, eBooks and blogs for a wide range of different businesses in a variety of different industries, as well as creating videos, and visual content (like infographics). We can create content for your business too – so you can have this content 100% ‘done for you’.

It’s vital not to let a single lead slip through the net, and also to track how every lead is dealt with – this requires a good CRM system and it to be used effectively by you and/or your salespeople. We advise business owners on cost-effective (often free) CRM systems, and set up and implement CRM for them as well as providing training so that you and your team actually use it effectively.

Not all leads will buy straight away, you’ll need to follow up effectively and persistently in order to get the best possible results from any lead generation activity and marketing investment. We can help, with use of CRM system, but also email marketing, retargeting, and using automated follow up systems using marketing automation software.

As a client of JDR, you’ll know where every single lead, enquiry and sale has come from, so we know which marketing efforts are working and which ones are not. We set up systems to track inbound phone calls, emails, form submissions and online transactions/sales via your website, and then to track what happens to every new contact past the initial enquiry or purchase.
